The  Progressive beekeepers came together and formed the PAU Progressive Beekeepers Association as per the guidelines of the Punjab Agricultural University.  Which has been working as a registered body of the University since 2001 and has been continuously making efforts to help Indian beekeepers out of trouble.  Sardar Baldev Singh Landa was made the first president of PAU Progressive Bee Keepers Association Punjab.  After that, Yogeshwar Singh Mangat (2003 to 2004) was the president for one year.  While Gagandeep Singh Bobby, a talented young beekeeper was appointed as the President in 2004 to speed up the activities of the Association, under his presidency the Association also made him the Vice Chairman of the National Bee Board to carry out major tasks.  Jatinder Singh Sohi and Kulwinder Singh were elected as members of the board from the fellow team.  After Gagandeep Bobby became the Vice Chairman of the National Bee Board, four beekeepers made Gurnek Singh Brar (Malke) the President (2007 to 2012).  While after this, Sarwan Singh Chandi (2012 to 2015), Simranjit Singh Billa (2015 to 2019) was the president.  After this, Jaswant Singh Tiwana was the president for some time in 2019, he resigned due to his domestic obligations and the executive team made Narpinder Singh Dhaliwal the president to run the work of the association (2019 TO 2021). The current President of Association is Jatinder Singh Sohi .
